The trek to Cambulo required us to climb the stairway-to-heaven rice terraces of Batad. We crossed a stream as we descended and traversed the hillside of another mountain.

Cambulo is a picturesque Ifugao village nestled at the foot of a mountain range. The Ifugao thatched huts are well preserved. The local folks, especially the children are very hospitable.

The picture below shows me marvelling at the scenery in the middle of a suspension bridge crossing the Wang Wang River, which I suspect is the same one feeding the Tappiya Waterfalls in Batad. The backdrop also shows some rice terraces.

I could extend my stay in this village, doing nothing but cuddling up in bed and strolling around the village whenever I feel like it.
